The Auditory Swish a great NLP process for handling negative self talk.

Here are the basics:

  1. Recognize the negative inner dialogue
  2. Manipulate and eliminate it (turn down the volume, make it into a chipmunk)
  3. Bring in ONE supportive thought as a replacement

The beauty of the auditory swish is that you are intentionally cutting off your inner critic and redirecting your mind where YOU want it to go. With practice, you can rewire your brain to be much more supportive, motivating, and inspiring, thus making it easier to achieve what you want in life.
